 Cherry Garth Holidays is situated in the heart of Thornton le Dale sat by the side of the beck which leads to the thatched Cottage. Local amenities such as public houses, eating establishments and shops are merely a three minute walk away.
Thornton le Dale is a prime location for visiting all of Ryedale and the North Yorkshire Moors. With bus links to Scarborough, Goathland, Whitby, York and Helmsley, going green and using public transport couldn’t be easier, so park your car and make the most of it.
We also have the fantastic North Yorkshire Moors Railway which travels from Pickering to Whitby. Enjoy the steam train experience, time standing still as you take in the beautiful views of the North Yorkshire Moors and its Villages. Or if you wish to see first hand beauty, cycle, walk or take a short drive to Dalby Forest where nature and adventure go hand in hand, a wonderful experience for all age groups.

Bridestones, Dalby Forest – Follow a variety of paths which lead to and around the amazing natural sculptures of the Bridestones. Be aware that some paths are reasonably smooth but there are gradients, steep in places and some paths have lots of stone steps.

Byen har blant annet egen sjokoladefabrikk, veteranbilmuseum, koselige spisesteder, puber og småbutikker.
Det er god forbindelse med offentlige transportmidler til alle severdigheter og omkingliggende byer i området, så parker gjerne bilen !
Vi har også den fantastiske North Yorkshire Moors Railway – et jernbanespor som strekker seg fra Pickering til Whitby over Yorkshireheiene , en reise gjennom et fantastisk landskap og flott utsikt. Jernbanen trafikkeres av dampdrevne tog, noe som gir en helt spesiell opplevelse og bringer deg tilbake til forgangne tider.
